Brigham and Womens Hospital.
I've been here more times than I can count. Literally. In the past few years, my mum has had at least a dozen surgeries in this amazing hospital. Usually, it's a vascular procedure that gets her admitted to the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center building. This time is was a non-vascular procedure that she thought would land her in 'the tower' with a roommate this go-around. Not so! Her surgeon got her admitted to the Connors Center for Women's Health! Exciting news for my mum because this is one of the few places she hasn't spent time in while admitted to BWH.
This is the view of the Shapiro building from her room.
Not bad! Bonus? Why yes, there is! It's a private room! They all are! It's cozy compared to Shapiro, but a million times better than having to share a room... anyday! She's got a bathroom that is nicer than some of the hotels I've stayed in, a flat screen TV, a comfy chair that converts into a twin bed and a mini fridge! Not too shabby!
I'm so grateful to the staff at BWH. They are always, ALWAYS, so professional and knowledgeable. The nurses my mom has had have always (ok... 95% of the time) been so kind and friendly and just amazing. When she is put up in the Shapiro building, the nurses actually argue over who get to take her. How sweet is that?! I'm so lucky that I live in a city that has some of the very best hospitals and medical care in the entire world.
Thanks for taking such great care of my mum!
